Wedding Wednesday : Wedding Checklist

Happy Wednesday ya'll... ya'll?  Why would I say that?  Californians don't talk like that. I think I secretly want to be a Southern girl and have an accent.  But let's face it.. I don't.  Not even close. Let's talk weddings!  So I can't believe today marks164 days until the big day.  It's coming so much faster now that it's the actual year.

It feels so good checking things off my checklist, and realizing we really don't have much left to do, other than the final details.. which we can't really do until closer to the big day.  You can check out my checklist from back in June here.

Still need:
❑ send invitations (may/june)
❑ cake taste (Feb 4th!)
❑ Dress alterations (as soon as shoes come in)
❑ Jewelry
❑ Flight for Honeymoon
❑ Groomsman attire
Flower girl attire/ring bearer attire
❑ Garter
❑ Menu Tasting (heck yes!!) (March)
❑ find Makeup artist (appt March)
❑ need to make gifts for bridesmaids/groomsman
❑ Wedding license (May/June)
❑ plan Rehearsal/ dinner
❑ Finish card box

It feels so good to check things off! We really only have the final details left. Ah!

Linking up with Belle in Boots today for Wedding Wednesday!

Inspire Me 2014 : The worst gift you’ve ever received

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! I feel like I have been so behind on everything lately! I need to organize my life!  I found some photos that I wanted to post back in November/December so I figured it's never too late right?
Here's a photo of me an the fiance before his friends wedding in Carmel:

Here's the same trip, we went to the local beach to check it out.

One of my girlfriends from High Schools wedding,  and yes I am wearing the same dress (a month later)  Don't judge me...

and my cousin and I at our second cousins going away party.. he's headed to the air force!

And now for the good stuff.. here's today's prompt for the Inspire Me 2014 Day 19 hosted by Kristen and myself:

The worst gift you’ve ever received

Gosh this is a toughie.  I don't know if I have the heart to say it's the "worst" gift.  Well, I have received some gag gifts in my life so I guess those could qualify as the worst gift as well, like over sized grandma underwear... yeah.. exactly.
Well, the absolute worst gift I can think of at the top of my head, other than the underwear, was a cute chia pet as a white elephant present.. it wasn't the chia pet that I wasn't pleased about though.. I was so stoked to plant it and it never ended up growing.  I didn't find out till later, that it was really expired, like years and years and years old.  Talk about a bummed moment..  All I wanted was it to grow!

What's the worst gift you've ever received?

Weekend Recap

Gosh this past weekend flew by fast!  I literally blinked my eye and it was over.  Anyways now it's time for the weekend recap- hosted by the lovely Bella from Dateless in Dallas and myself. And here we go:

Friday night: I was super lazy Friday and my fiance went out with his friends so I got some dinner with my mom, and watched Dallas Buyers Club at home while snuggling with my pups.  It was a very relaxing, much needed Friday well spent.  And I played Candy Crush way too much. Gosh that game is addicting.

Saturday: I got up early, and by early I mean 9, and went to Breakfast with my mom.  After breakfast when my fiance got home from work, we went condo/apartment shopping.  We basically just drove by some places to scope out the area and get a feel for how far or close it is for us to drive to work.  We also went ring shopping for our wedding rings, and it was a success because we ended up buying both of them! One more thing to cross off our list!

Saturday Night: My fiance and I went out to dinner with his boss at a delicious Mexican restaurant that seriously has the best skirt steak!  We crave it!  After dinner we went to some local bars and stayed up wayyyyy too late. Here is a photo of some decor inside the restaurant:

Sunday: Literally we wasted our entire Sunday.  We were so lazy and just watched TV in between napping all day.  We did, however, get up and got ready to get a late lunch(by getting ready I mean half-assing my makeup and throwing my hair in a ponytail).  I had a delicious trip trip dip sandwich and salad, with fries.  And girls, I have not had fries for months!  They are my weakness and I've been really good about not eating them.  But I had to this time.  Cheat days are ok in small portions!

The last two photos: My friends baby shower, we are using some of the decorations for my Bridal Shower in April!  So I wanted to show you some!

Ok and I promise for the lovely ladies who sent me wedding Q + A, I will be working on it asap! I've been super lagging! Sorry! Thanks for understanding!

Now it's time for you to link up your fabulous weekends!

Inspire Me 2014: Day 15

Happy Thursday! For a second I thought it was Friday and I was really excited until I realized it wasn't.  Anyways, It's day 15 of the Inspire Me Blog Challenge, hosted by and Kristen and myself!

Today's topic:
Thursday, January 23: Many new babies have been introduced into the blogging world in the last year. Tell us about one of the funniest moments you've had with them.
You know, I haven't really been introduced to any new babies recently.  However, this upcoming weekend I am attending a Baby Shower.  I guess that's the closest to a baby that I will come in contact with until she is born.
I do have many moments being a kid that I do cherish.  Some are funny and some are not.
Here are some I can remember from the top of my head:

1. I broke my wrist the summer before 1st grade.

How? Well, being the dork that I am, I was dancing on a step-stool and lost my balance.  I fell and hit my wrist hard on a table.  I never cried once. I just screamed at the top of my lungs and ran upstairs to my mom.  She immediately rushed me to my doctor where they told me I broke several little bones in my wrist. Luckily I didn't have to go to school with a broken wrist because it was summer.  However, I couldn't go swimming which was a bummer.
The best part of the story is when I got home, my friend bought me a Barbie to make me feel better.  I almost wanted to break something else to get more presents! haha I kid!

2. I went to Hawaii for my 5th Birthday.

I remember being picked up from Kindergarten to head to the airport.  You see, my Birthday is also my parents Anniversary.  I never thought much about their Anniversary, I was more focused on my Birthday.  I also probably didn't really understand what an anniversary was when I was 5.  I remember little bits and pieces of Hawaii like swimming with dolphins, it being warm, and eating a huge chocolate cake.  I also remember going to a Luau where I apparently danced alot. Since then I have been to Hawaii 5 times.

3. Hiding in the mall.

I remember going to the mall with my parents and hiding in between the clothing racks.  Who didn't do this as a kid? I remember doing it all the time. One time my parents kept trying to find me and said they were leaving.
I remember freaking out thinking they were actually leaving me.

4. Being locked in a restaurants restroom.

Technically I wasn't locked in.  I thought I was.
So there was a super narrow hallway leading into the restroom.
My parents and I were vacationing in Florida I wanna say I was in 1st or 2nd grade, prior to me breaking my arm.  I went to the restroom by myself, and when I was on my way out I kept pushing on the door.  It wasn't opening. I started to panick. I kept pushing and pushing and it wouldn't open. I thought I was stuck in this tiny little bathroom all alone.  I started screaming for help.  Finally one of the employees came and opened the door and my mom came running over after realizing it was probably me.  I found out later that the door said "pull." I was so embarrassed and my parents said everyone in the restaurant heard screaming but wasn't sure where it was coming from.  To this day my dad still tells this story. haha I laugh now.  And now I know to read the door when I walk out.

Inspire Me 2014: Blogger Challenge

Co-hosting with Kristen, and the prompt for today is..
January 22: What are some personal goals you’d like to work on this year?

My goals for this year are to eat better, create meal plans for at least 4 days out
of the week, and exercise more regularly.

Last night, I started working out with my fiance.  He's my personal trainer so he showed me what to do, how many, and really pushed my limits.  Lets just say, I haven't worked out in a long long time, and he really forced me to get a good workout.  It sucked at the time, but I am very motivated and driven and wanted to exceed what he told me to do.  My pre-workout meal was oatmeal and bananas.

I've found that eating at least 1 hour before a workout , prevents low blood sugar (which leads to light-headedness and fatigue.)  The only reason I felt light headed was because my iron is low, and fatigued because I never workout.  But I don't like giving up.
I'll push through it!

Now, what are some personal goals you'd like to work on this year?

Inspire Me 2014

Hope you all had a great MLK day! We were lucky enough to have it off work so I spent another day laying out by the pool, getting an early big dinner with the fiance (I totally felt like old people), and watching criminal minds at home with our pups.
So so so sorry I was off to a slow start yesterday with the blog challenge and weekend recap!
I'm linking up with Kristen today for our
 Inspire Me 2014 Blog Challenge

Do you have any awesome vacations planned for the year?
If not, where would be your ideal spot?

I do have a few vacation plans this year especially because I have my upcoming wedding!
My parents originally planned a trip to Ireland before we got engaged and were going to bring us both with them.  I've been wanting to go to Ireland ever since I saw the movie P.S. I love you.  Plus my dads Irish.  So for Christmas two years back, I bought my dad a piece of land from Ireland that we could visit when we took our trip.  Well, plans changed, I'm getting married now so we have to push back our trip to Ireland a bit.

I am going on a Bachelorette cruise to Ensenada in April with my girlfriends.
I am so excited to go! It will definitely be an experience!

I will most likely visit Vegas, since we go at least twice a year.  It will happen, I just know it.

In July after our wedding, we are going to Puerto Rico for a few days before our 7 day Southern Carribbean cruise kicks off! I can't wait to spend all that time without cell-phone service and just have my man by my side.  It will be a trip of a lifetime.  The ports we stop at are Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Croix, St. Marteen.

Ah I can't wait!  Now it's your turn to answer the prompt.

Weekend Recap

It's that time again for our Weekend Recap!
I'm co-hosting with the gorgeous Bella from Dateless In Dallas.

Special thanks to those of you who have jumped on board with us to linkup with your weekend recaps! We love all the support and are so thankful to have started this!

Now for my Weekend Recap:

Friday Night: Friday was payday!  Who doesn't love payday. I spent my Friday night cleaning and packing some of our stuff up.  I got rid of a lot of clothes!

Saturday: Saturday I met my girlfriend for lunch at a delicious sandwich place.
We shared a summer salad, and panini, and each got our own soups!  After lunch, I head home to layout by the pool because it was so beautiful outside! I couldn't resist!

Saturday Night:  Saturday Night I went line dancing with my girlfriends! It was fun to get everyone together. I love line dancing!  So many funny laughs, and drunk stories the next day!

Sunday: Sunday my girlfriend and I took our doggies to the dog beach.  They always have so much fun running around and interacting with all the other dogs.  I threw both of my two weiner dogs in the ocean.  They hated me, but it was so cute to watch them swim! They gotta learn somehow!  After the beach we went and got smoothies and sandwiches.  We head home and took a nap and then cooked chicken and steak kabobs. Yum yum yum!

If you don't already follow me via GFC, I'd love to follow you back, just shoot me an e-mail!
Trust me, you'll thank me later when you'll be first to know about my *Giveaway* coming up!
