Weekend Recap

Weekend recapping with Bella from Dateless in Dallas!

Friday evening wasn't very eventful.  You see, we don't have our internet/tv/landlines hooked up yet (they come next weekend!) and my hubby needed to use the internet to print out a few things for a new job he is starting this week.  So we went to my parents house so he could use the internet.  While he was busy studying and doing his thang, I watched some TV shows with my mom and soon discovered a new show called Partners which I fell in love with.  A+ in my book.  I've been wanting to find a new TV show.

Saturday we had to wake up early because we were waiting for our furniture guy to check out and fix the side table that had the drawer put on crooked, and to check our couch that had gaps throughout the sides.  Super glad he was able to correct the problems when the guy originally put it together.  And come to find out we had a defect in our side table so they are bringing a replacement soon!  We were able to get a lot done around the house.  It's a slow process but we are down to only a few more boxes! Whoo hoo! Moving seriously sucks!
However, we were able to get some details of our home put together, such as our engagement canvas prints, and a wall decal!

We went back to my parents so the hubby could finish his online class and get some hours in.  After he was done, my mom, hubby, and I went to Islands for dinner.
We were able to fit in a target and bed bath and beyond run in too! Score!

Sunday was the weiner dog races! (Dachshunds)  My girlfriend and I entered our two weinies into their very first race!  It was so much fun!  My dog, Oscar, didn't win, but it was so fun to watch and I know it won't be his last race!

They race each dog twice.  If they lose twice, they are done.  If they win at least one, they continue until they lose.  The first one for Oscar, he started walking, and then turned around and went back.  So I had to run down to get his attention and get him to follow me.  It was too funny!  The second time around, he just trotted his way down like he was going down a catwalk.

On our way home, I saw the most beautiful sunset I've seen in a while.

Rehearsal + Rehearsal Dinner

Every wedding calls for a wedding rehearsal.  You know, it's like the walk through before the big production! We chose to have our rehearsal the day before, that way it would be fresh in our minds and we were already booked to stay at our hotel that evening.  I started off the morning laying out by the pool.  I mean why not, the weather was fabulous!

Then got ready for the evening.  My beautiful friend Jewel did my hair.

The wedding rehearsal has begun!

Walking with daddy..

"This rehearsal is like a kindergarten fire drill"..... and that it was.

Officiate: Don Johnson

It was not easy getting everyone to pay attention and do what was asked.  (Mostly the guys).  It seriously felt like a kindergarten firedrill with little kids running all over the place.  Luckily it only took about 45 minutes to go over everything twice so everyone could remember where to go, what to do, and so on.

We chose to have our rehearsal dinner at Yard House (which was perfect because it was walking distance across the street from our venue.)  I custom designed menus and chose certain food options for our guests to choose from.

My mother in-law bought custom cake pops for everyone with our wedding colors (Tiffany Blue & Coral) and one Bride and Groom one too! They were a hit and so adorable!

After din din with my blondies
We came back to our room after dinner and of course had a photo shoot on one of our balconies.  The skies looked gorgeous how could we not?  Then my wonderful maid of honor pressed all of the girls dresses and robes that I gifted them so they would be pressed and perfect for my wedding day.  I went to bed early so I would be well rested and ready to take on the day!

Weekend Recap

Welcome back for another Weekend Recap hosted by the lovely Dateless in Dallas and myself :)  Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  I was able to get alot done around our new home!  Somewhat got the office furniture setup, although I need to hang some of the chevron boards and frames.
We ran errands at Target over the weekend, and spotted this interesting outfit.
Mail order bride? I think so..

The before of our bedset: (After to come later)
It looks so sad and boring doesn't it?  We need to spice it up with photos, and frames of some sort.  Ideas?

Our front door and door mat:

We also changed our cell phone service because we weren't getting adequate service at our new home, and our previous service didn't feel like doing anything about it.  So we needed to get new service.  As we did that, we also got a landline (whoo hoo grown ups!), internet and cable!  So the package deal ended up working out fantastic.
And a bonus I was able to score this LG Pad for $1!  and of course took a selfie pretending it was a huge phone:

Sunglasses: Prada
Sorry its so short and sweet, but I didn't think you'd want to see boxes upon
boxes around our home.

What did you do this weekend?

Our Honeymoon {Part 2}

{Wedding Wednesday: Recapping our Honeymoon Part 2}
If you missed Part 1 of our Honeymoon Recap, you can catch up here.

Part 2 of our recap starts day one of our fabulous 7 day cruise.  We were able to board the ship starting at 11am and we did just that.  Luckily we did, because the lines started to get really long!  The ship didn't depart until 8:30, but we wanted to start our adventure and get settled.  We decided to purchase the unlimited drink package which was probably the best choice we made as we exceeded in drinking what we would have spent. Big score for us! Plus I snuck getting some drinks for our fellow friends!     We went to our first dinner in the dining room and had a table for two.  However, we were next to a group of four and ending up talking with them the entire time. (Making friends every day!)

We met a few friends the first day on the cruise (Sorry for the 1st blur photo.. the hubby hates taking photos)

Went to the comedian the first night

Of course made it to the club on ship the first night.  So much freakin' fun!
Which is also where we met more friends.
The next morning we arrived in St. Croix.

We found about ten live sand dollars (I've only seen dried up ones), so obviously I had to take a photo with one!
In love with the crystal clear blue water and this man of course.

We walked the town a little bit, but there wasn't a whole lot to see in St. Croix.
(At least on this side)

Farewell St. Croix... Until next time
We had formal dinner night, and got dressed up for the occasion.. met with the friends whose table was right next to ours from the previous night, grabbed a cocktail before dinner and combined tables with each other for dinner.

We attended a show which involved other cruisers.  So funny to watch!
We made it to the club again that evening, and apparently I danced my booty off and completely forgot!  I guess I met an older friend that I "twerked" on.  It was funny, the next morning B said hi to him and his wife and I had no memory of them. When he told me about me dancing I didn't believe him.  It was such a funny way of meeting someone. Being silly as usual.  To which we became great friends later on :)

Stay tuned for Part 3, coming soon!
