Weekend Recap x 2

Hello all! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  I can't believe July is practically over. I'm still not sure how that happened.
I haven't done a recap in a while so I figured it was time to do a little catch up. (Two weekends combined into one post!)

Last weekend my husband and I took a little mini vacation/baby-moon in Palm Springs. (Won from Ellen!) We had such a fun time and met some new friends. Once we arrived, we knew we wanted to grab lunch. So of course, I yelped some placed nearby that were different than what we are used to getting. We tried a handcrafted burger place called Eureka. It was pretty tasty.  After eating we were craving some good ice cream so were starting to head to get some when a light came up on my husbands truck that we had never seen before. Something about a system failure, so we took it in to a Ford dealership right away! Luckily they were still open when this happened and we didn't end up being stranded in Palm Springs! We were there for a good two hours and luckily they were able to fix the issue.

By then, we just wanted to get back to the hotel to enjoy some pool time.
We ended up staying at the pool a while before we went out to dinner at a place a friend recommended called "The Nest." It was pretty good, but a little overpriced for the taste. I think they are trying to make it more of an upscale restaurant. My husband got the Filet and I got a Sausage pasta. Both came with salad and dessert. We chose the chocolate mousse.
We made it an early night because we knew we wanted to enjoy the pool the entire next day.

We woke up and had breakfast in the hotel lobby and then headed to the pool.  I of course had to get a lovely Virgin Pina Colada! It was so yummy!  We went back to the room around 5 pm to get ready for dinner. Hubby treated me to Mastros. My favorite! I haven't wanted steak at all this pregnancy, which is weird to me (I also like it cooked medium rare and since I can't have it prepared that way I just can't have it any other way hah) So I opted for the Salmon. Which was fantastic by the way! We had creamed corn, brocolli, and mashed potatoes and of course finished it off with the amazing buttercake!

We really enjoyed ourselves and had a nice relaxing getaway that was much needed!

This weekend was spent planning for my baby shower coming up in two weeks!
My cousins came over and we went over details and made a few items for the party.
We also shopped for some gifts for the game prizes.  I sported this beautiful dress from PinkBlush on Saturday. I love the navy color and lace details and that it comes with a belt to show off the bump. (Officially 31 weeks today!)

This dress is so comfortable--Especially in this heat! I love that I will be able to wear it after having the baby too! It's the perfect dress for on the go!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!  I got a LOT of orders done this weekend and this was one of my favorites:
A Birth Stat canvas.  She wanted a "my little sunshine" theme to match her room.  It came out super adorable!

My second favorite is this mug "I woke up #le tired."  I am shipping out 23 orders today.  Phew! But I feel so accomplished!

I took hubby for dinner Sunday night to our favorite Japanese Steak House.  They have HUGE portions so I of course have some for breakfast/lunch today which I am so excited about!

Other than that, my weekend was basically filled of me cleaning, and working on shop orders!  How did you spend yours?

Weekend Recap

Good morning! Hope you all had a great New Years! It still doesn't even feel real to me yet that is it 2016.  I am co-hosting for this weekend recap with Bella from Bella And The City. This weekend I went to the river with some friends and the hubby and we had the best time!  We road buggies, played drinking games, had a bonfire, and danced! Our buggy ended up getting stuck in the middle of the desert, but luckily we had some friends nearby who were able to tow us out!  We went straight to the bar to grab beers and pizza after that little incident.  But it always makes for some great memories.

Link up with Bella and I and tell us about your weekend!

Weekend Recap

The weekend is over and we have officially approached Christmas week! Can you believe it?!
This last weekend was fun.  Friday evening my husband and I looked at Christmas lights near my parents house.  The houses around the lake always decorate beautifully, and each street has a theme.

After walking around and looking at the lights, we came home and watched a few Christmas movies with the fireplace on!

Saturday my husband went golfing so I worked on orders.  When he got home, we got ready to have dinner at my favorite Japanese Steakhouse. I wish I got more photos, but I was having too much fun! After dinner we went out on the town!

Sunday we spent the day relaxing and recouping from the night prior.  We went to my parents house to go out to dinner at Yardhouse, which was super yummy, but then we came home and relaxed some more.  We kept it pretty low key.

I still can't believe Christmas is just a few days away.  What are your favorite Christmas Traditions?

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday, it's time for my Weekend Recap! This weekend was a major #Hustle weekend for me.  Since we are redoing my office this coming Friday, I knew I had to push orders out to give myself time to close shop and get everything that is now in my office out.

I spent the evening on Friday helping my girlfriend create a gift for someone whose child died at 38 weeks in the womb.  She wanted to make something she would cherish and that would be meaningful for her. So we created this image and placed it on a tile.  This is what the end result was:

She was super happy with the result and it was her first time making anything like this for someone! I love it!

Saturday day I woke up bright and early to hustle out my Etsy orders.  I ended up having over 22 orders made and shipped out.  My mom was super helpful and came over to help me package all the orders!

Does This Ring Make Me Look Engaged?

We made it to the post office right before they closed to ship these babies off! I was exhausted.  When I got home, I thought I would have time to nap, but the hubby told me to start getting ready for an earlier dinner.   So that is what I did.

We went to Claim Jumper and I ordered the steak and shrimp. It was so good!  They also have my favorite dessert Pumpkin Cheese Pie.  It's basically a cheesecake with pumpkin.  I am so not a dessert person, but something about pumpkin spices things up!  We got home and had our friends come over to play some cards, dice and go in the spa.  We played this game called 3-man, and I ended up being stuck as three man pretty much the entire game.  So I was feeling pretty good by the end of the night. Before the guys got too buzzed we went to the store to pickup more alch and some snacks.

We ended up going in the spa around 3 am, and cooked taquitos and cookies. We didn't go to bed till about 5 am. It was a LONG night.

Sunday we pretty much slept all day and were super lazy.  We finally got up and moving around 2:30 PM and I helped my friend make some decals for his ATV/buggy. It was a fun weekend, but I am exhausted!

How did you all spend your weekend?

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! This weekend seriously FLEW by!
With my Birthday coming up (Tomorrow!), my friends and I went out to dinner Saturday evening to Saddle Ranch because I was craving some prime rib! It was so good! Of course they gave us the usual cotton candy afterwards too!

After dinner we went to one of my favorite country bars, but because I didn't know we were heading there, I didn't have the proper shoes.  I was able to go but I couldn't dance :(  So sad! We ended up making it a semi-early night than our usual nights out and got home by 1 am.

Sunday we woke up to head to our favorite all-you-can-eat brunch spot!  Unlimited mimosas filled our glasses and unlimited food on our plates.   We ended up hitting up a few of the bars downtown because I hadn't seen my friend in a while.  I kept it pretty mellow since I was driving and was a major grandma ordering an Iced tea at a bar. HAHA!
Overall it was a fun weekend, and I look forward to going to Oregon to see my bff next weekend!

Weekend Recap

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  We had an extremely busy weekend.  I had my good friend from High Schools wedding on Friday and then had a baby shower on Saturday.

We left early from work Friday to head out to wine country and try to beat the traffic.
Luckily we didn't hit too much traffic and made it early enough to get settled. It was so great to see old friends from High School that we haven't seen in a while. It was so great to reminisce.

Saturday was my cousins baby shower. It was the cutest little theme at the cutest place.

I'm also sharing my wedding advice on The Knights Place today.

Weekend Recap

Oh boy, this weekend went by too fast.
On Friday evening I tried "sugaring" which is similar to waxing but it's supposed to be better for you. I had never tried waxing so I am not sure what to compare it to but I go back in 4 weeks for a touch up.  We went to Saddle Ranch steakhouse after to have some girl time and dinner.  We had too much fun, especially when my girlfriend got on the bull. (Picture uploading in progress)
We made it a short night and I went home to catch up on some sleep.

Saturday I woke up early to hustle out Etsy orders and shipped out 14 packages.  I think that is the most I have ever shipped out in one day.  I usually try to stagger them but I wanted to get them out ASAP.  I spent the rest of the day with my mom lounging around and grabbing some dinner.  We watched some freaky paranormal activity shows and crashed.  I don't think it was a good idea to watch those before bed, because I had some insane nightmares.

Sunday I went to the mall to do a little retail therapy.  I'm not digging all the styles that are out right now so I only ended up with one shirt.  Hopefully I will have better luck next time.  We grabbed a bite to eat and hit the grocery store to grab some stuff for dinner.  Chicken Teriyaki skewers to be exact.  Then I came home and worked on a few more orders :)  I had a pretty relaxing weekend and after I read all that I wrote, I sound pretty lame.   I promise I am more exciting haha, but sometimes it's nice to just go with the flow, type of weekend.
