Weekend Recap

My 2015 Blog Goals + Giveaway

As bloggers, there are always improvements we hope to accomplish.  I would like to bring in the New Year with a bang! 2014 was one of the best years of my life.  I married my best friend, we went on an amazing honeymoon, we bought our first home, and so much more!  
I started a Weekend Recap with Bella, ran a few giveaways, created an Etsy Shop, Made my first Facebook page, and made new blogging friends. With that said, now that I have more free time {as I am not longer planning our wedding}  I can focus on getting things accomplished on this little ole' blog of mine.

Here's my current list I've compiled of what I'd like to accomplish in the upcoming 2015 year:

-Gain more blog followers
-Participate in more linkups/ giveaways
-Expand my Etsy shop
-Learn new design ideas and strategies
-Collaborate with new bloggers 
-Be more creative with your blog posts, create new ideas
-Lisa, you need to seriously use that Canon Rebel T3i you were gifted two Christmas's ago.  Start using those photos instead of your iPhone ya nut!
-Create new buttons

Weekend Recap & a Giveaway

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great Halloween weekend!  I am still recovering from being in Nebraska with my husbands family.  Lucky for you, I'm recapping both the weekend I had in Nebraska and Halloween weekend.  Co-hosting this weekend recap with Bella And The City. (Go check out her new blog!)

Last weekend / week I traveled to Nebraska with my husbands family to have a memorial service in remembrance of his grandfather who just passed.  It was really nice to see so many loved ones show up to remember and celebrate his life.

While we were in town, we had so much fun.  From horseback riding, to checking out the ranch, to having a bonfire in the backyard, to hanging out with family.  There was so much fun and so much food.

This past Halloween weekend was great.  Unlike most Halloweens, I did not celebrate or dress up, but Friday the hubby was still up in Nebraska, so I went to dinner with my mom.  We kept it pretty low key. 

I hung out and watched movies with my pups while my mom passed out candy. She had to turn the lights off early, because she ended up running out of candy!

Saturday he was heading home from Nebraska so I wanted to make sure everything was clean, and laundry was done.  So the pups and I hung out at home awaiting his arrival. 

(Notice all the pup photos? -- I think it's safe to say I am officially a crazy dog lady)

Sunday was my husbands birthday.  We went out for breakfast at his favorite, The Original House of Pancakes.   I ordered coffee with German pancakes.  They were sooooo good! I have always wanted to order then but have never tried them. Such a treat!   After breakfast we went to the mall to browse around and then had dinner reservations at another one of his favorites, Lucille's BBQ.  Oh man did we eat a lot.  We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer, then had ribs and tri tip.  Of course we had to order the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.  It would have been silly not to.

(P.S. it's my birthday month!)
