Fourth of July : Sport your Independence

Untitled #37

Happy 4th of July! What do you all have planned this 4th? Whatever it may be, I hope it's filled with friends, family, and good American food!  Sport your Independence this 4th of July with some Stars and Stripes.
Go get your once a year American bikini, bows, and American shorts on.
Check out Jane, Groopdealz, and Modcloth for some fun "American" clothing and accessories.
Live Free Graphic Tank Tops-3 colors
We all need to celebrate our Independence as Americans
in the land of the free. I am extremely swamped and busy as heck, as I am getting married in 11 more days! And we are currently busy moving into our new home.  If you haven't read in past posts, we are officially homeowners! B and I closed escrow last month and we are finally ready to move on in!
We were so lucky to find the perfect three bedroom, three bathroom home!  We knew we wanted an office AND an extra bedroom for when guests stay over.  This was the perfect find for us and our budget in Orange County!

We are only going to move a few things in over the weekend (I know, who moves over the 4th of July weekend? .. We do!-- I am just so anxious!), We will fully move after the wedding and honeymoon.  My amazing aunt and cousins offered to clean our home while we are on our honeymoon.  Such an amazing and sweet gesture! (Love you guys!)

First up on our to-do list is put granite counters in the kitchen and two of the three bathrooms, and some other not-so interesting things like buying a fridge, new washer and dryer, new sofa, side tables, and end tables.  My list could go on forever!  Be sure to expect a lot more home decor & DIY posts around these parts, because I am ready to freshen and liven up our new home. (Now that it's OURS).  I'll be sure to keep you all posted here, but make sure you follow along on my instagram as well!

I can't believe it's already THE month I am getting married. Gosh this has been my favorite year thus far!  Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

What are your favorite festivities this Holiday?

Birthday Wishlist

It's officially my Birthday MONTH.  I turn 25 this year - specifically on November 17th, but of course I have to start my wishlist early.  Luckily for those with November Birthdays, all the items will also be on my Christmas wishlist.  Here's a small selection of my favorites:

 Birthday Wishlist

Last weekend was my fiances 26th Birthday, and our one year anniversary of being engaged.  If you missed the story, you can read all about our engagement story here.
Anywhooo, this weekend I surprised my future hubby with personalized Nike shoes he's been wanting, a birthday dinner with my parents, and a Sunday Brunch Cruise on a yacht.  It was the most perfect weekend, and I couldn't have asked for a more amazing man to spend the rest of my life with. November will always be an amazing month to us because my fiances Birthday is on Nov 2, mine is Nov 17, my parents Anniversary is Nov 17 also! (except I am a horrible-selfish daughter and have never catered to the fact that it's their anniversary.. gosh I need to change that.) I have so many ideas for my birthday but I don't know what to choose!  1. Line Dancing, 2. Bowling (always a fav), 3. Catalina, 4. Dinner with Friends, 5. LB Aquarium (always wanted to). 6. Wine Tasting (still never been!!)  Any suggestions?? I am all ears!
Anyways here are some photos:

Simple Last Minute Halloween Costume

I must be the only one this year not dressing up for Halloween. I didn't even get excited that it was Halloween, or have anything planned for it.  I literally had no motivation for Halloween. I am so lame.
Maybe next year I'll be more into it, because I will be married next time around ...

(Crazy right?)

I mean, I've been super busy planning and making crafts for my wedding and bachelorette weekend so that has taken up most of my time (and $$$)

Gosh, I sound like an old lady.  Also, the fiances birthday is this weekend,
so I've been planning that too!

Anyways, if you have any last minute plans for Halloween, here are some easy, creative ways so you don't show up and be the only one not dressed the part.
Grab a Tshirt, Leggings, or sweater, some acrylic or fabric paint,
and make those shirts ya'll!
 Oh! And HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

  • I love the pops of color
  • Zip pockets inside to easily organize
  • Extra roomy inside to store everything you need!

It's not too early to start my Christmas list, right?

Daily Find: Pleated Dress

The Daily Find: Devlin Pleated Dress

My current obsession: pleated dresses.  I feel they compliment every body type.  They make thin girls have a figure, and curvy girls appear thinner.  They compliment every shape and size.  Here are a few of my favorite picks:

Wedding Planning: and What I Have Accomplished

Untitled #35

Wedding Season is upon us, and this year so far I have 4-5 weddings I am attending, one of which I am a bridesmaid! I have been helping one of my girlfriends make some things for her wedding coming this August.  It has been a stressful few months but once everything comes together it will be perfect!  Additionally, I have been piecing together bits and parts of my own wedding and have a few floral appointments this week! So excited to check things off my checklist!

Here are the centerpieces my gf made for her wedding.  Loving these manzanita trees! We bought the trees from LA for $10-12 per tree.  Since shes only using them every other table, she only needed 5 trees.  They turned out super cute! She spray painted and glittered them, added rhinestones on the bases, put rocks in the square and added candles! Super adorable and inexpensive considering these trees run up to $50 per tree if you get from a florist!  (P.S. if you are interested in buying them, let me know!)

Here are the DIY fans she made that also double as a wedding program! Super cute!

We have also made cute sandals for the guests to wear so they can dance!
 Ill upload more photos later!

On another note, semi-off topic, here is the dance floor vinyl
I designed for my gfs wedding last year!

Oh yea, check out that dance-floor, center of attention!
I feel the need to have some bragging rights! Haha! Totally harmless!

Who doesn't love the dance floor?  That's the best part!!
( Me pictured on the left- awkward angle!)

And for what I have accomplished for my own wedding so far

Summer Style

Summer Style

Summer is officially here, and it's finally time to get into the swim suit style!  I am totally loving these fringe swim suit tops!  It draws the attention to your upper part and away from the stomach region.  Understanding your specific body type can help determine which bikini will look best on you!  Remember, you can always buy mismatching tops and bottoms  to create the perfect body shape and create illusions where necessary.

I found the cute purple fringe bikini at Kohls for $19 as a set! It's hard to find swimsuits these days that are cute and affordable!  I always see them going for like $70 for just the top and $50 for the bottom! Outrageous!

Summer stripes

Summer stripes

I know stripes didn't get the best rating in the past, with people saying "They make you look wider."  Depending on how you wear the striped attire can determine how it looks, and stripes are definitely a go-to this summer.

Nothing reminds me more that summer is near than stripes. It’s the classic spring-summer transition.  Stripes can be worn in a variety of ways, you can add pops of colors-- and neons are a definite.  Don't think of this summers stripes as just another trend-- You can add stripes to dominate an outfit in everything from mini-dresses to a cute summer hat. Make sure to add some stripes to your wardrobe this summer! I know I sure will!

How will you wear your stripes this summer?
