Bridal Shower Details {Part 2}

I know I discussed my Bridal shower in a previous post, but I wanted to showcase more photos and details that tied everything together.. perfectly.

My beautiful bridesmaids and I made all the decorations for the theme: Shabby Chic
Looks simple and easy, but man was that a task!  It was fun, and of course I'd do it all over again, but VERY time consuming.  So if you are planning on making all your decorations, give yourself plenty-o-time!

some of my lovely lady friends :)

I made this sign and placed it next to our "Marriage Advice" jar.  We called it a Recipe for a happy marriage. We put wooden spoons in a jar and had guests write there marriage advice on the spoons.  It was so fun to read after the shower!

little details

Homemade sugar scrubs are what we made as favors.

I designed a few signs for table decor

Of course we had the TP bride game!

My favorite pattern- chevron! (As you can see most of the wrapping paper and gifts were chevron related)  Love this apron!

We LOVE our new doormat!

ModCloth Dress

Many of you asked where I got my dress for my bridal shower and I was so bummed when they sold out of them so quickly. But you are in luck, the dress is now back in stock! I ordered my dress from Modcloth, which is a super cute online fashion website and everything is very reasonably priced.  I love shopping Modcloth online because it's convenient and they have so many unique items that I could have never found in stores.

I had always wanted to purchase something from Modcloth, but never had a good reason until my bridal shower.  I originally was looking for a white, lacey dress.  Then, I came across this Lovely as a Lychee dress from Modcloth and immediately fell in love.  I wasn't sure whether or not to try it out, because I am really hesitant with online shopping.  Some things look better in pictures than they do when you try it on.  I am so glad I decided to take a leap and buy the dress, because I checked back a week later, and all sizes were sold out!
When I received the dress, I immediately tried it on (who wouldn't?)  I fell in love instantly and was so excited to wear it at my bridal shower! It fit so perfectly!  I knew I wanted to buy a mint/tiffany blue necklace to go with it, and of course I found a rad deal on jane.com. (Who I am also affiliated with) If you do end up purchasing from jane or groopdealz, they do sell out fast! So check back often for new items as they add new ones every day!

Also, if you use my links, I am an affiliate of all three online shops and get a percentage from them!
If you do, message me and I will send you something via mail as a thank you :)
(And if you are an affiliate anywhere let me know, I purchase things online all the time and would love to help a sista out!)

I am not being compensated for this post.  All honest opinions are my own.
I am an affiliate for Modcloth, and if you purchase any items by clicking my links,
I do get compensated a percentage of the sale.

Weekend Recap

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I sure did. I am linking up with Bella for our weekly Weekend Recap.  If you have been following me via Instagram, then you would be well-aware that it was my Bridal Shower this past weekend.  The weather couldn't have been more beautiful.  It was beautiful, sunny, and shared with my family and friends.
For those of you who asked about my outfit, my dress is from Modcloth and my necklace is from Jane.com.

Friday -
All my Bridesmaids came over to help set up all that we could before the Bridal Shower the next day.  We cut vegetables, fruits, made the dips, and organized what needed to be setup.
After we were done we watched our favorite movie, Bridesmaids!  That movie will NEVER get old!

Saturday -
Saturday was my Bridal Shower. We woke up at 5 am to set everything up and make what we needed to make, picked up cupcakes and ice.  We thought we would have plenty of time, but the time sure flew by! We ended up being rushed!  I rushed to get ready to try to be ready in time before guests arrived!  I ended up being only 15 minutes behind, thankfully!
The day couldn't have been more perfect.
The weather, the decorations, my amazing bridesmaids, and the family and friends that helped with everything!   I couldn't have asked for a better support system.
(I will make a seperate post later on with all things Bridal Shower),
but here are some photos so you get the idea.

98 days!

My gorgeous bridesmaid!

We had 5 games total (Don't say the grooms name, Toilet Paper Bride, What's In Your Purse, Guess Who Knows the Bride Best, and Bridal Bingo)  It was the most perfect day!

It also just happened to be my future Mother-in-laws birthday. So after the shower was over, I visited with my favorite cousins and Aunt, and then headed to dinner with my fiance and his family that came down for the shower.  We went to Joe's Crab Shack.  After dinner, we went home and I literally crashed. I was up for over 18 hours so I was done for!

My poor fiance ended up getting sick off the oysters and was up all night in the restroom.  Poor thing!

Sunday
The laziest I have been in a long time!  I literally spent the day in my PJs and wrote thank you cards, took a nap, and hung out with my fur babies and mom.  We cooked dinner at home, and it was nice not to wear makeup or get ready all day!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Stay tuned for my upcoming Bridal Shower post!

Wedding Shower Success : And The Drama Behind The Scenes.

One of my best friends Bridal Shower was this past weekend.  We had so much fun!  The theme was Candyland, and we had our own Candy bar. It turned out so cute and we did it all ourselves!  However, the pre-planning process was not an easy task. Let me tell you...

So, weeks ago I called the table & chair rental company to confirm our reservation and exact table/chair count.  Everything seemed like it was going smoothly, and I had no idea what was about to occur.  The night before the Bridal Shower, the table rental company was to deliver the chair and tables by 8PM.  11:30 rolls around, and they were still a no-show.  Thankfully, 5 minutes past, a Party Rental truck comes rolling down the street.  I thought the stress was gone, until he starts pulling 5 square tables out of the truck.  We ordered ROUND tables, and to make matters worse, they didn't even bring the chairs.
The guy starts storming off and that was that.  I didn't think they were even going to show up the next morning, I thought we were screwed.  Thank goodness they showed up and brought the correct tables and chairs this time.

It doesn't end there.

We began setting up around 8 am for the 12'o clock. The rest of the bridesmaids were supposed to be there to help us.  They were nowhere to be found, we couldn't get a hold of them, and they still had some of the supplies we needed.  The Bride-To-Be was not thrilled.  Finally, when all the guests arrived, she started having an anxiety attack from all the stress and had a hard time breathing.  She had to breath from a paper bag. Thankfully, the guests had started playing the toilet paper game and didn't realize what was going on.   She finally calmed down and started to begin her day.  It all worked out in the long run, but man was it stressful!  Just like they say, "Nothing  ever goes as planned!" -- couldn't be more true! haha!

Here is a photo of all the lovely bridesmaid ladies ( missing Jo!)

Our adorable Candy Bar ( Man was that a hit!)

We had Buca Di Beppo catering. It was delicious, and man was that a hit! Check out that line --  out the door!

We started off with the toilet paper game, where we put groups together in teams and they had to make a bridal gown/veil out of toilet paper! It was so funny to watch!  Those girls sure were creative!

It was such a fun day!  We even had our own Mimosa Bar

Have you planned a Bridal shower before?  Did you have any struggles?  What was your favorite part?
